At HSR , we’re proud to offer exclusive access to the professionally equipped hydrotherapy pool at Aquamira. A warm, purpose-built hydrotherapy pool, operated by our highly experienced physiotherapists. Our offering includes private and group sessions tailored to your needs.

What Is Hydrotherapy?

Unlike swimming, hydrotherapy uses tailored exercises in warm water (around 33–36°C) to support the body and relieve stress on the joints. The warmth and buoyancy of the water allow you to move more easily, helping to:

✅ Reduce pain and stiffness
✅ Improve joint mobility and circulation
✅ Strengthen muscles safely
✅ Support balance and confidence

Many people find hydrotherapy helps them move in ways they simply couldn’t on land, without fear of falling or overloading their joints.

Who Can Benefit from Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is widely used for rehabilitation after injury, surgery, or illness, and for managing long-term conditions. It can be especially effective for:

Mobility challenges – including wheelchair users or those struggling with balance

Arthritis – easing stiffness, reducing pain, and improving daily function

Post-surgical rehab – particularly after joint replacements or orthopaedic surgery

Neurological conditions – such as stroke recovery or spinal cord injuries

Bariatric clients – water supports movement and makes exercise feel lighter and safer

Our Specialised Hydrotherapy Sessions

HSR’s hydrotherapy programmes are designed to meet individual needs. Alongside private one-to-one sessions, we offer themed small-group sessions: For example:

Ladies Aqua Stretch – gentle water-based stretching to improve flexibility and relieve tension.
Men’s Strength & Mobility – resistance-based exercises to build muscle and improve movement.
Arthritis Support Sessions – low-impact, joint-friendly routines to manage pain and stiffness.
Bariatric Sessions – safe, supported exercises for weight management and mobility confidence.
Wheelchair Users & Accessible Sessions – water-based rehab to boost independence and function.
